Healthy Snack Recipes from Your Garden

There’s no better experience than biting into a fresh fruit or vegetables that you have worked hard growing for months. Besides offering essential vitamins and minerals, fruits and vegetables provide simple and healthy snacking.

There are plenty of crops that can be pulled from the ground, rinsed off, and bit into. Try sliced cucumbers, strawberries, cherry tomatoes, sugar snap peas, green beans, or bell peppers!

Or try this great recipe for Kale Chips – a great on-the-go snack:

1. Tear the kale into small/medium pieces and place in a large bowl
2. Lightly cover the kale with olive oil (be sure not to pour on too much!)
3. Season with salt or a combination of your favorite spices or herbs
4. Toss to evenly coat the kale with olive oil and seasoning
5. Bake at 300 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until they are crispy

Let them cool, and enjoy!
